Awesome customer service. The sales people are very patient and helpful. Great selection of tile. I had to pay a little more here, but it is worth it!

I am a general contractor and have purchased all my tile from Empire for about 30 years. Why go to a big box store when you can get great prices with professional assistance.I just stopped in yesterday to order some material for a kitchen remodel. Always friendly and always helpful.

Great selection of floor and wall tile. This isn't strictly a DIY place but a store that caters to the professional wall and floor tile contractor. After visiting big boxes and some small retailers, my wife and I went into Empire to see if we could find a specialty tile that harmonized with our new quartz counter-top. We wanted a tad of bling but also something classy and understated. A salesperson, Selena, promptly greeted us.. After discussion our wants, she immediately found an over sized, white pearlized glass subway tile that was perfect with the counter-top. She suggested a large granite slab tile to go over the cook top to minimized greasy splatters. She truly brought our vision into focus.

It took 3 days for the special order to arrive. When I went to pick up the order it was complete and ready. The stock guys loaded it for me.

I've found a new source for any of our tile needs. I will used them when our future projects call for tile.

By far the best tile store I've ever been to, really amazing selection topped off by employees that are more than helpful. I'll never go to a big box store again for tile.

If you're planning to do a big remodel project entirely by yourself and are (like me) intimidated by the magnitude of what you're going to have to learn to get it done, do yourself a favor and leave some of the thinking to the good folks at Empire Tile.

I recently gutted our master bath to the studs, and started a remodel that includes replacing a lot of rough plumbing, moving a drain in the slab, complete electrical, etc., much of which I've been learning to do on the fly. We strolled into Empire to see if they could best the big boxes on price for the tile we planned to use. The did, but that wasn't how they really helped us... With nothing more than the square footage of the room and some rough ideas of what tile we wanted, the staff here punched a few numbers into the computer and a half hour or so later, we left with a receipt for all of the cement board, thinset, grout, deck mud, tile, liquid waterproofing membrane, membrane fabric, cement board screws, and probably some random stuff that i've forgotten. Basically, they figured out everything we needed.

I'm not usually one to appreciate an up-sell, but I was super excited to be able to leave this figuring in the hands of the folks at Empire. So far, aside from needing an extra bag of deck mud, their estimates of my needs were totally spot-on.

Empire Tile is a real gem. Like other specialty businesses in the area, it's also a nice reminder that there's still a number of good things happening in San Bernardino.

I used this store to buy the tile for my kitchen flooring project 3 years ago. I'm moving and need tile for kitchen and bathroom remodeling in my new place so I visited them again (twice). I can't understand the bad reviews. The staff is wonderful -very knowledgeable and very helpful. The selection is impressive and the prices excellent. I've always been helped immediately and offered samples of what I was interested in to take home. I can't recommend this place highly enough

Decided to rip out that nasty carpeting and put in Tile...visited the Empire Tile Showroom...what a bazillion choices! We knew we wanted an Oak colored wood look. We still had so many choices, who knew there were that many 'looks' to a wood style Tile? The lady that assisted us, sent us home with plank samples plus three contractors to interview. We chose John Hudson of H & H Custom Tile Works from Empire Tile's suggested contractors. We brought more sample home and finally decided on a textured wood-look 32" plank. John ordered over 900 sq ft of Tile for the work we wanted plus a slate Tile for the Foyer. Tile took no time to order, couple of weeks. Got it home, opened a box for a peek of what our rooms were going to look like and fell in love! The texture and color were awesome. When the job was complete, it really opened the house! The color is so warm and welcoming! Thanks Empire for letting us take our time and sending us home with so many samples! Plus the price was spot on! Your assistance through this whole process was very much appreciated!

By far the best tile selection, most helpful staff, and great prices! Serena and her dad run a very well oiled machine. They don't miss a beat. You ask, they answer, they got it, they will get it. Never a no. Never a "I don't know". We love shopping here. So much so we keep buying more houses to renovate!!

Been doing business with Empire and the staff for years! Always helpful and professional.

Have been to this place a few times the last couple of years. They have a large selection of tile. Friendly and very knowledgable, especially saleswoman SG (sorry, didn't get her name, maybe Selena??). She gave us a lot of DIY info that we were very glad to hear, and probably saved hubby some grief. Their thinset is less expensive and better quality than Home Depot & Lowe's. There are only a few salespeople, so you may have to wait if it's busy.

Here's why you should come to a specialty tile place and skip the big box hardware stores: selection, service, and variety of product.

Selection. You're going to get a much wider selection of products here than you can get at a big box hardware store. Obviously, the floor space dedicated to tile is much bigger here, and they have installed tile on their own floor to show you different designs and styles.

Service. Here, you get a dedicated salesperson who knows their stuff. The depth of knowledge of the product and how to install the product is better here than anywhere else. They'll even recommend three contractors to install your tile, and if none of them work out for you, they'll recommend three more until you're satisfied.

Variety of Product. Did you know that you can get glossy tile for the walls, then matte tile for the floors? The big box hardware store only has the tile in glossy. So when the tile gets wet, you're slipping and sliding on wet floor tiles. Here, you can get the exact same tile in matte, or varying sizes such as 12 x 24 or 24 x 24 or bullnose, or any number of variations in the same tile. The big box hardware store can't match that variety of product.

First time here at empire, excellent experience. Excellent showroom selection. Super friendly staff. Very knowledgable too. They also helped us plan our room and wall design. I usually hate shopping for this stuff but Empire made it pretty enjoyable. We left with the right samples. Excited to complete this project. I highly recommend it's worth the drive.

The first thing I LOVED about this place is that it was clean and the displays made me want to look at everything. We were greeted by Shay, a very warm and sweet young lady who once I told her I'd been talking to someone through email, knew exactly who to direct me to, and that's when we were introduced to Serena. This woman knew tile! She was so in tune with my design ideas, she suggested the perfect tile! Which, by the way, was laid on the floor just like the other inventory, so you could see it installed! Brilliant! She did the math for us (which was very handy) and told us everything we would need and the exact cost for our project. I will never ever even consider another place for my tile needs! Best customer service ever! GREAT prices, best anywhere in this area! And an all around fanatastic experience. I highly recommend this business.

Empire tile has a huge selection of tile and I was very pleased with the service. I placed my first order and was so happy with the product and service, when it was time to do my second bathroom I ordered the tile again from Empire. Not only was the service great, my order came in complete. I will definitely return again when I need more tile. Thanks to all the sales and warehouse people for two jobs/orders well done.

Starting a remodel on my kitchen,so i was referred to Empire Tile.I was very impressed with "Shawncae".I took a carpet and flooring sample with pictures and measurements for my project( as advised prior to visit).I was met by Shawncae with a big welcome.Showed her what I was looking for,and she went right to work.She is very much a professional at interior decoration.Every piece of tile,edging,and back splash she had picked out was perfect(even the grout).Saved me a lot of time shopping around,and took the guess work out of my project.This place has it all.Thank You Shawncae for making this project so exciting.

When I read the reviews about Empire Tile I wrote this place off but two of my friends mentioned that they got just what they needed from Empire and so I thought it would not hurt to go and see and well I could not have been more delighted with their customer service over the phone and their customer service in their store. I was really afraid that since I did not have a large contractor job that they would not want to help me but that was not the case and I was helped by a very nice lady named Rhonda and she pulled prices on the tile that I wanted and found the corner pieces and v-caps that matched so I could re do my kitchen counter tops. We also bought grout and sealer there. Just so we are clear about something we went after 4 p.m. and the place was absolutely empty but if we had showed up at 7a.m. there would have been a huge line of all the contractors that use Empire, they would be ordering or picking up what they needed for that days jobs and you have to understand that Empire would want to see to their repeat customers first instead of a homeowner with a small job and to me that's fair, I might spend $500 with them but a big contractor over a year maybe spends over $100,000 with them and you have to know that its just good business to take care of the repeat customer first. So this is a excellent store and they were very nice to me but i did not go at a time when they were hugely busy and pushed to get every ones order done and it worked out great. They have a excellent selection and all the people are very nice and very knowledgeable and I have had a great experience and they saved me a lot of money. Do not be afraid to try this place because of the other reviews, they have been the best tile store I have been in by far and they only charged my half of what the other places wanted for tile I really did not like. Good experience, Give it a Go.
